CLUB HISTORY

Worcester Park FC origins go back to 1921.

Our long-established non-league club is based in Surrey, with roots stretching back to the early part of the 20th century. The club has historically served as a focal point for local football in Worcester Park, drawing players from the surrounding community and establishing itself as a well-known name within the county leagues. Worcester Park FC has always maintained a strong sense of identity and tradition, reflected in its resilience through decades of grassroots football.

The club became best known for its long association with the Surrey Intermediate League and later the Surrey Senior League, where it competed for many years. During this time, Worcester Park built a reputation as a competitive side capable of holding its own against stronger semi-professional teams. These early decades were formative, laying the foundation for the club’s enduring presence in the local football scene.

In the modern era, Worcester Park FC has spent most of its time competing in the Combined Counties League (CCL), particularly in Division One. The club has enjoyed notable success at this level, including league title wins that highlighted its potential to progress further up the football pyramid. However, FA ground grading requirements have often posed challenges.

One of the highlights in recent history came in the 2010s, when Worcester Park were crowned champions of the Combined Counties League Division One. This achievement demonstrated both the quality of the team and the strength of its management. Unfortunately, restrictions linked to the club’s ground meant that promotion was not possible at that time, underscoring the recurring theme of ambition limited by infrastructure rather than footballing merit. Success followed just recently where the club were crowned Saturday Intermediate Cup Champions in 2025.

The club’s home ground, Skinners Field, has long been central to its identity. Though modest compared to larger non-league venues, it has hosted countless local derbies, cup matches, and title battles, making it a special place for supporters and players alike.

Today, Worcester Park FC remains an important community club, balancing ambition with the realities of non-league football. Its history reflects both resilience and untapped potential: a team that has consistently excelled on the pitch. The club’s story continues to be written.
